Kakching: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has vehemently condemned the recent act of snatching away of LSU President’s car at gun point by 3 persons who identified themselves as members of Arambai Tengol on December 31, 2023 at around 11 am at Kakching District, Manipur. In a condemnation note signed by Medovi Rhi, President, NSF and Chumben Khuvung, General Secretary, NSF, it stated that “such act of violence and disregard for well-being of the citizens is absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.”

The incident which took place on December 31 involving 3 persons forcibly taking possession of the vehicle at gun point from its rightful owner, who is the President of Lamkang Students’ Union under Chandel district, Manipur terming such brazen act not only endangered the victims’ life but also instilled fear and anxiety within the society.

The Federation stated it “firmly believes in the importance of maintaining safe and secured environment for all residents, condemning such incidents as a stark of need for increased vigilance and collaborative efforts to combat such heinous acts.”
In connection to the incident, the Federation extended their heartfelt sympathies to the victims and their families, who might have undoubtedly endured a traumatic experience and assured that the federation is committed to support them during their difficult times and ensuring that justice is served.

Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) urged the law enforcing agencies to expedite the case and employ all available resources to identify and apprehend the perpetrators swiftly. NSF also encouraged community members to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation adding the federation remains steadfast in their commitment to fostering a safe environment where everyone can live, work and thrive without fear.
