Ukhrul, June 12: Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim Yaruiwo Q Tuccu on Thursday proclaimed solemn general amnesty to all who have gone astray from doing what they have vowed before God and Naga nation in defending the historical and political rights of the Nagas.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Yaruiwo stated, “In view of the political movement spanning over 75 years where we have invested blood, sweats and tears to define the Naga nation as given by our Almighty God and the urgency to halt anything that obstruct nation building process by way of failing to defend the historical and political rights of the Nagas becoming the victim of the flattering policy of the Government of India, a time has come to put ourselves in proper perspective with the spirit of forgiveness and integrity”.

Tuccu maintained that recognizing that the Naga national objective remains elusive because of Nagas’ own misdoings; recognizing that ‘Nagalim for Christ’ must be taken care with divine connection and guidance and recognizing the urgency to join hands in the struggle for self-determination and the protection of our history, heritage and culture.

The National Security Council (NSC) of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) took the decision to extend general amnesty to all who have gone astray from doing what they have vowed before God and Naga nation in defending the historical and political rights of the Nagas on May 30, 2025, according to the statement issued by the Yaruiwo.
