UKHRUL: Following the reported killing of four Tangkhul Naga civilians at Pilong in Kamjong District of Manipur today, the apex Tangkhul Naga Long(TNL) has called a 24-hour Emergency total shutdown on 25th and 26th Sept.
The TNL stated that the 24-hour Emergency Total Shutdown shall be imposed within its jurisdiction to protest against the brutal killing of the four innocent civilians. The body identified the victims as Phami Jajo and Vareishim of Kangpat Khullen, Ningthem Kashak of Zingsui, and Betterson Jaio of Kangpat Khunou.

The TNL also alleged that they were killed by Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B) and Kuki narco-terrorists around 1:30 pm today at Pilong, around 35km from the Kamjong headquarters.
“The total shutdown, which will commence at 07:00 am of 25th September, 2026 and end at 07:00 am of 26″ September, 2026 shall strictly be observed by one and all,” the TNL said.
However, it stated that emergency services including power, medical, fire, movement connected with funeral/condolence service and other essential services shall be exempted from the purview of the total shutdown.
