Senapati District Journalists’ Union Formed, Office Bearers Elected

Senapati, September 25: The Senapati District Journalists’ Union (SDJU) was formally launched on September 20, 2025, at the Hills Hornbill Express conference hall. Journalists from the district gathered for the inaugural meeting and discussed issues concerning the profession.

The meeting also elected the first office bearers of the union:

President: Samuel Pao

General Secretary: Kibambe Felix

Finance Secretary: S. Genevieve

Media & Publicity Secretary: Ng. Solomon Sha

Adani Peter, John Basho and Dr. Wungnaongam have been appointed as the Advisors.

The SDJU said it aims to work for press freedom, professional growth and better coordination among journalists in the district.
