Senapati: As part of the curtain raiser event of the Golden Jubilee cum Olympic Games, 2022, the Senapati District Olympic Association, Manipur (SDOAM) is organising Open Marathon Run under the theme, “Catch the Rain” on December 4 beginning from 7 am onwards.
The marathon is reported to be conducted along NH-2 beginning from Maram bazaar and proceeding towards its end point at Mini Stadium, Senapati.
PHED minister L. Dikho will flag off the marathon at Raisung Ground, Maram bazaar after Dr. Ngouniba Peter, District Immunization Officer, Senapati delivered advocacy on Covid Vaccination to the participants.
In this connection, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, District Magistrate, Senapati had issued a notice for information to the general public that flow of traffic will be regulated in the section of the NH-02 between Maram bazaar and Mini stadium, Senapati on December 4 from 7 AM onwards till the completion of the marathon run and thereby the flow of traffic will be regulated in the said section.
