CHANDEL: The Sirti Upa Ruh (Monsang Tribe Union) has vehemently condemned the brutal killing of two Tangkhul Naga civilians following an ambush on Saturday.
In a statement, the Sirti Upa Ruh, while expressing its heartfelt pains, strongly condemned the brutal killing of two Naga civilians, namely Chinaoshang Shokwungnao (45 yrs) of Tashar Village and Yaruingam Vashum (42 yrs) of Kharasom Village both from Ukhrul district on April 18 on the way to Ukhrul near TM Kasom village by suspected Kuki militants.

“This barbaric attack and killing of two Naga civilians is a premeditated plan and ambush,” the union stated, adding that it is a crime against humanity.
The brutal killing of innocent Naga civilians is a direct challenge to the peace loving Nagas, the union said.
