UKHRUL: A sit-in protest demanding justice for the brutal murder of Pushpa Paudel (63) was organised on Wednesday by the Narvon Gorkha Youth Club and the women’s society of Charhajare, Kangpokpi.
Paudel was murdered inside her residence in Charhajare on May 3. According to reports, gold jewellery, cash, and other valuable items were found missing from the house. The incident came to light when locals reportedly visited the victim’s residence on May 4 and discovered her lying in a pool of blood.
Sources stated that the victim sustained multiple head injuries, allegedly inflicted with a blunt object. She was reported to have been living with her mentally challenged younger brother and had no immediate dependents.

Preliminary suspicion suggests that unidentified assailants may have entered the house late at night, murdered the woman, and looted valuables before fleeing the scene. The protesters have demanded that the culprits be apprehended.
