State Industry Minister inspects site for construction of Industrial Estate at Senapati

Senapati: Manipur Textile, Commerce & Industry and Co-Operation minister, Nemcha Kipgen inspected the proposed construction of Industrial Estate at Katomei, Senapati. The team comprised of Yumnam Robita Devi, Director, Trade, Commerce & Industries, Michael Achom, IRS, Secretary, Trade, Commerce & Industries, Peter Salam, Managing Director, MANIDCO, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, DC, Senapati, N. Sundar Singh, General Manager, DIC, Senapati & Kangpokpi and Lunguiba Thangal, MCS, SDO, Senapati.

Briefing media persons, minister, Manipur, Nemcha Kipgen delighted to see the proposed site expressed her gladness to see the village chief and his village authorities of Katomei village to have donated the land. Under the BJP government, “Sabka saath, sabka Vikas, Sabka biswas, sabka pariyas,” which is the manifesto of the Prime Minister and state government led by N. Biren Singh as the chief minister stated to get a number of development and asserted to come in reality.

Post construction of the Industrial Estate, the minister stated that the village people will get all the benefit of employment generation. The minister asserted that the present government does not differentiate between the valley districts and the hill districts where facilities have been availed in both the hill and valley districts.

Peter Salam, Managing Director, MANIDCO in his address stated that the site at Katomei was identified by the Directorate of Trade, Commerce & Industries with assistance of all stake holders including all the district officers. After surveying the land, DPR had reportedly been submitted to the ministry which has been approved. With the inspection taken up by the team, foundation stone laying is reported to take place soon so as to let construction start at very early date and avail benefits to the people.

Earlier, the minister and her team had also inspected the proposed Mega Food Park at Yaithibi Khunou, Thoubal district before arriving at Senapati. The villagers of Yaithibi Khunou accorded a warm reception to the visiting minister.
