Applications Invited for 6th State-Level Media Fellowship Program on Climate Change Reporting

Ukhrul, Mar 26: The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, has invited applications from Manipur journalists for the 6th State Level Media Fellowship Program on Climate Change reporting for 1 year. The theme of the fellowship program will be climate change impacts and actions in Manipur.

As per the notification, candidates can avail of this fellowship only two times consecutively. However, fellows who have received the award twice can apply again after a year’s break. A total of 10 (Ten) Fellowships in 4 (Four) categories will be awarded across the State: 1. Open Category for print media reporter 2. Open category for electronic media reporter 3. Women Journalist Category for print media reporter, and 4. Hill Journalist category for print media reporter.

The applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in Journalism and Media reporting and will be awarded Rs 50,000/ (Rupee Fifty thousand only) on a writing basis, along with a citation as a fellowship award. Moreover, the applicants will avail the opportunity of interstate exposure visits and capacity building during the fellowship period.

HOW TO APPLY: Application along with latest CV and two passport-size photographs should be submitted to the Director, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, Porompat, Imphal on or before 7th April 2025. The application should also enclose a letter of endorsement from the Editor mentioning that the output under the fellowship program will be published/telecast in the concerned newspaper/electronic media.
