Synopsis:

The Tangkhul Katamnao Long Delhi (TKLD) fervently presents Naga Patriotic Song & Poetry/Ballad competition under the theme, ‘Sing & Shout for Naga Nationalism’, which stands open for keen participation of all Nagas across the globe. This modest endeavor aims to celebrate glorious Naga Nation, love and admiration for Naga’s brethren and to bring home belongingness and togetherness amongst the Naga people across the arbitrarily divided Naga Nation. The student body hopes and wishes to share the flame of patriotism in the hearts of every Naga people and to bestow national consciousness.

Patriotic songs and Poems have boosted the morale of the people during the times of crisis, strengthened their conviction in times of uncertainty and rekindled pride in who they are and what they represent as a people and as a nation. Patriotic songs and poems inspire us to devote our allegiance and a sense of responsibility towards our Motherland. It gives us a deep feeling to cherish our Motherland and embolden us to live up for Her cause.

TKLD opens this platform to exhibit your talents, skills and creativity; be it by singing a patriotic song or reciting a poetry composition or ballad presentation. We believe the competition will not only give the participants the opportunity to amplify their spectrum of Naga ancestral wisdom but also grant us wider space to gaining insight of the Naga Political Struggles.

The competition will be an ‘ongoing process’ from the date of its commencement till the 10th of January, 2022. On the Grand Finale, we shall arrange a Virtual Event to observe the ‘Naga Day’ and the result will be declared on the same. The winners shall have the stage to present their songs and poems at the event and will be live-streamed on our official Facebook page and You-tube channel.
