Kohima: United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman, TR. Zeliang while saying that forming an opposition-less government in Nagaland is a sign of unity, expressed optimism that the members will move towards bringing a Naga solution before Christmas.
The newly appointed UDA chairman Zeliang told media persons at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhawan, Kohima today after the swearing in ceremony of Y.M. Yollow Konyak, the NPF legislator.
Zeliang said that he is happy that all the 60 members formed the opposition-less government. The meaning of forming an opposition-less government is translated into reality by inducting one cabinet minister and we are grateful to the chief minister for his good magnanimity for giving the post of UDA chairman.

Zeliang said with the coming together of all the 60 members, he was optimistic that they will move towards the Naga solution and give the last push to the Naga solution before Christmas.
On being asked about chief minister Rio to campaign for the NPF party in Manipur, Zeliang said the NPF has invited Rio to campaign for the NPF party in Manipur, because all the 60 members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly is an opposition-less government and all the parties are together now.
Zeliang also said, “In Manipur we have a coalition government with BJP, so we have invited chief minister Rio to join the NPF campaign in Manipur”.
However, Rio has agreed in principle but said that he will consult with his NDPP party workers and hopefully he will join the NPF Manipur election kickoff campaign on February 16.
