With this development, cafés and restaurants in Ukhrul no longer need to rely on Imphal for their frozen supply requirements. “We began keeping storage for our own needs, but as the demand grew, we decided to open Shimm’s Frozen so that people here could acquire their requirements more conveniently,” said proprietor Shimmeichon Zimik
The shop aims to bring greater convenience for local businesses in the food and hospitality sector. “Cafés and restaurants in Ukhrul can now access frozen goods right here instead of traveling to Imphal,” added Lunmi Hungyo.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by family, friends, and well-wishers, with the building owner, Khanot Ruivah, former principal of Pettigrew College, present along with his daughter to bless the inaugural.
The new outlet is expected to give a boost to Ukhrul’s growing café culture by ensuring steady supply of frozen products and related essentials.
