Senapati, Jan 15: In continuation of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, a grand reception was given by people of Senapati district at Traffic Point in Manipur.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi, MP and former President, All India Congress Committee expressed grief over the turmoil that has been prevailing in the state since the last 8 months. He said that Bharat Jodo Yatra was organised the previous year from Kanya Kumari to Kashmir with the idea to bring the people of India together adding it was a successful Yatra where they walked for thousand kilometres.

Rahul Gandhi spoke from the top of the bus podium he is travelling, “With another Yatra from East to West, most powerful Yatra should start from Manipur so that people of India could get a sense of what the people of the state have been going through, the difficulties and struggles they have been through.”
The Congress leader also mentioned that he understands people have faced traged — how people have lost family, properties assuring the people that peace should return in the state, to bring back Manipur into a peaceful and harmonious state.

Rahul Gandhi said that he has been informed about the difficulties people of Manipur have been facing relating to education, and several other issues. He hopes that peace returns to Manipur at the earliest.
The Congress Yatra entourage was presented with a Poumai cultural troupe dance during the short gathering at the heart of Senapati town. Th. Sokho George, General Secretary, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee brought the welcome address. The MP and former AICC President met different CSO leaders.

Lunch break was also held at Late Sanyi Dahrii Memorial Sports Complex, Khabung Karong.
The Yatra later headed for Nagaland after tea break at Mao Gate, Senapati district where the Yatra team will halt the night at Khuzama Ground, Nagaland.
