TENGNOUPAL, NOV 19: The Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Tengnoupal District, on Tuesday organised a one-day Community Mobilisation and Media Activities Programme for Head Teachers and School Management Committee (SMC) members for the academic year 2025–26. Held at the Tengnoupal Community Hall, the programme brought together key stakeholders in the education sector to strengthen school governance, enhance community participation, and raise awareness of government educational initiatives.

The event was moderated by Dk. Morung Maring, with registration handled by M. Tolkham and Donjaishang Maring. Lunmingthang Baite served as the in-charge of camera and video coverage.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Khaling Donjaishang, followed by a keynote address delivered by Shokholun Baite, ZEO (MES-III), Tengnoupal District. In his remarks, he stressed the need for community involvement, transparent communication, and capacity-building to improve the quality of education in government schools.
A series of training sessions were conducted by resource persons on various educational themes.
- Lanu Pinky Aimol spoke on Inclusive Education for Persons with Disabilities, highlighting the 21 disability categories under the RPWD Act, 2016.
- P. Morung Maring trained participants on VSK, UDISE Plus, and NIPUN initiatives, emphasising accurate data reporting and strengthening foundational learning.
- Shokholen Mate explained APAAR ID generation and guided schools on the national student identity system.
- Tongsin Winnergift presented on Vidyanjali School Volunteer Registration and Eco Club activities, including committee formation and online documentation processes.
- Apao Serto spoke on Community Mobilisation Activities, PM-POSHAN, civil works, and school safety and security measures.
An interactive session was also held, allowing participants to discuss challenges and explore collaborative solutions.

A vote of thanks was delivered by Shokholen Mate, who acknowledged the contributions of all officials, resource persons, and participants.
The programme concluded with light refreshments and a photo session. Later, a large number of teachers and SMC members joined an Enrolment Drive Rally aimed at strengthening community involvement, raising awareness, and promoting the importance of education across the district.
