UKHRUL: The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), headquartered at Dilung, has firmly rejected and condemned what it describes as reckless, unverified, and baseless accusations by Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and the Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU). It stated that the accusations were aimed at implicating the Front in incidents arising from internal disputes and conflicts within Kuki communities.

“The ongoing practice of issuing allegations without credible evidence, thorough investigation, or factual verification is irresponsible and extremely harmful to communal harmony. Such unfounded accusations only serve to mislead the public, create confusion, and unnecessarily escalate tensions among neighboring indigenous communities,” stated the ZUF.

ZUF also strongly cautions Kuki civil society organizations against maintaining this pattern of misinformation and political blame-shifting. It warns that it will not tolerate deliberate attempts to tarnish its image, misrepresent its position, or falsely associate it with incidents for which no evidence exists. Those making such allegations must be prepared to substantiate their claims with verifiable facts, the organization demanded.

ZUF further reiterates that the rights, dignity, ancestral land, and historical interests of the Zeliangrong people are non-negotiable. “Any attempt to undermine or encroach upon these legitimate rights—whether through misinformation, intimidation, or political manipulation—will be firmly opposed by all lawful and legitimate means. If ZUF’s patience runs out, illegal immigrants will face severe consequences, and there will be no room or time to spare, not even a single moment to rest,” it added.

ZUF calls on all concerned organizations to act responsibly, refrain from inflammatory propaganda, and pursue truth and accountability rather than unfounded accusations. Peace and stability can only be achieved through honesty, mutual respect, and adherence to facts, it concluded.
