Delhi, May 10: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), in coordination with relevant aviation authorities, has announced a temporary suspension of civil flight operations at 32 airports across northern and western India. The suspension, effective from May 9 to May 14, 2025, has been implemented for operational reasons, as detailed in a series of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs).

The affected airports include major and regional airfields such as Amritsar, Chandigarh, Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Bhuj, and Jodhpur. All civil aviation activities at these airports will remain halted until 0529 IST on May 15, 2025.

In addition to airport closures, the AAI has also restricted access to 25 Air Traffic Service (ATS) route segments within the Delhi and Mumbai Flight Information Regions (FIRs). According to NOTAM G0555/25, replacing the earlier G0525/25—these air routes will remain unavailable from ground level to unlimited altitude until 2359 UTC on May 14 (0529 IST on May 15).

Airlines and flight operators have been instructed to plan alternate routings in compliance with current air traffic advisories. The temporary measures are being coordinated closely with air traffic control units to maintain safety and minimize operational disruptions.

Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated schedules and alternative arrangements during the suspension period.
