In continuation of its relentless efforts to serve the locals and motivate youth to join the armed forces including Assam Rifles, Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles organised a Know Your Forces Mela at P Sejol village in Henglep Sub division of Churachandpur District, Manipur on 02 March 2021.

Interested young boys and girls willing to join the Indian Army or Assam Rifles were invited through CSOs & social media platforms. During the event, they witnessed a weapons and equipment display organised by Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles. The youth were thrilled to see such an elaborate layout of sophisticated weapons and equipment.

The youth were also given information about nuances of the recruitment procedures including aspects from document inspection to medical fitness, physical and academic ability requirements for joining the forces. Youth from the remote area were also guided and motivated to aim for future recruitment rallies.
In addition to providing livelihood to the deserving youth, such initiatives will build strong ties between locals and the security forces & wean away the youth from drugs and insurgency towards constructive contribution for nation building.
