The event began with a prayer by Shimphrui Ninglimla at Seipamtang, Kasom Khullen headquarters, at around 5:00 PM.

During the gathering, Masowon Shanglai, Chairperson of the Kasom Khullen Sub-Division Shanao Long, expressed gratitude to the participants who traveled from far and near. She explained that the program was organized under the guidance of the UNC to protest the killings of their two beloved sons in the ambush by Kuki militants, despite being under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement.

As mothers, she shared in the grief of the families and lamented that the Tangkhul community, and the Naga people as a whole, have lost invaluable lives. She referred to their loss as a sacrifice for the nation and urged the women to unite in prayer and stand against their enemies. Additionally, she recounted how the Israelites were guided and protected by God  in their journey to Canaan.
