Chandel Naga People’s Org Bans all Unauthorized Construction Works

Ukhrul: The Chandel Naga People’s Organisation (CNPO) has banned unauthorized construction works under its jurisdiction.

An office memorandum signed by President Thamdok Francis and General Secretary Sh Kalenchung of the CNPO was served to all agencies, stakeholders, parties, organizations, departments, and the general public on Friday.

The CNPO stated that any construction works including roads, bridges, border fencing, checkpoints, bunkers, and related should have prior permission from the concerned village authority and the tribe of that area.

The organization then calls for strict compliance with the memorandum enforcing the prohibition on authorized works, and authenticating permission and consent.
