TKLD and TKS Successfully Conclude CUET Awareness Workshop in Ukhrul

Ukhrul, Jan 30: The two-day CUET Awareness Workshop, jointly organised by the Tangkhul Katamnao Long Delhi (TKLD) and Tangkhul Students’ Union (TKS), has been successfully concluded, drawing enthusiastic participation from students eager to gain insight into the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), according to a press release by TKLD.

According to the press release, the event commenced with a welcome address by the TKS President, Ramreichan Keishing, who emphasised that “information is the most powerful tool in this age.” He encouraged students to seize this opportunity, highlighting how just a few hours of learning and awareness could shape their future.

Following this, the TKLD President, Nganingam Pheiray addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of CUET in accessing quality education. He candidly expressed his concern over the Tangkhul community lagging behind in education for the past 10-15 years, calling it a declining era. He urged students to strive for academic excellence, challenging them to rise above limitations and secure a brighter future for our community.

The session then moved to the primary segment led by Dr. Masot Zingkhai, the resource person, who comprehensively explained the CUET exam, its structure, and significance. It was followed by Philathem Jervish Shaiza, Public Relations Secy. TKLD, who guided students through the CUET application process, explaining the step-by-step procedure and sharing valuable tips to ensure a smooth application experience.

The event also featured an interactive Question Hour, allowing students to raise their doubts and seek clarification on various aspects of CUET. This session fostered engagement and ensured that participants left with a well-rounded understanding of the examination.

The two-day program concluded on a moving note by Convenor, Chuimeimi Valui, who encouraged students to embrace their uniqueness and talents reminding them how everyone is blessed differently and urged them not to imitate others but one must discover and nurture their own strengths.

A total of 627 students from 7 different schools across in Ukhrul Town took part in the program. The participating schools in the event included KTL, Alice Christian Higher Secondary School, Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, St. Joseph College, and Little Angel English School.

In conclusion, the press release extends deepest gratitude to all those who contributed in the programme, stating, “Your dedication, support, and enthusiasm made this event a resounding success”.
