Father son among 3 bodies recovered out of 4 missing villagers of Wangoo Terakhong Akasoi in fresh Manipur Violence

Imphal: Bodies of 3 out of 4 missing villagers of Wangoo Terakhong Akasoi, Kumbi Assembly Constituency, Bishnupur District were found on Thursday morning. They went missing on Wednesday after they reportedly went to collect fire wood at Wangoo Sabal Maning Meichakpi Ching.

Suspected to have been killed by Kuki miscreants, Bishnupur District Police and villagers found the 3 bodies around 10 am at the foothill of Wangoo Sabal Meichakpi Ching. The bodies were recovered from a location not very far from the post of Maha Regiment.

The recovered bodies are father and son, identified as Thoudam Ibomcha (53), (son of late Thoudam Pangoi) and his son Thoudam Anand (27), and Oinam Romen (35) son of Oinam Pishak.

There is still no information about the fourth person missing who is identified as Ahanthem Darasing (54), son of Ahanthem Apikchao. It is still unclear whether he is alive or not.

Intense search is going on to find the fourth missing person by Bishnupur District police team along with the village volunteers at Wangoo Sabal Maning Meichakpi Ching till the time of filing this report.

It may be mentioned that, a viral video, allegedly released by Kuki miscreants on social media platforms on Wednesday claimed that they had killed the four persons, all of whom are from the Meitei/Meetei community from the valley.
