CHANDEL, AUG 20: Little Pearls School, Rungchang, Chakpikarong, recently celebrated its annual Literary Meet 2026 from August 11 to 13 under the evocative theme, “Nurturing Voices, Inspiring Futures.” The three-day event provided a vibrant platform for students to explore their talents in literature, public speaking, creativity, performing arts and intellectual activities.

Established in 2015, Little Pearls School was founded by its Principal, Hranglim Jeremiah Anal (M.Sc., B.Ed.), with a vision of providing quality education and nurturing the overall development of children in the region. Located at Rungchang, Chakpikarong, in Chandel district, the school has grown over the years into an institution that places emphasis on both academic learning and co-curricular development.

The Literary Meet witnessed the participation of students in a range of competitions and activities. The proceedings were graced by distinguished personalities who contributed their expertise to various events. Mr. Rng. Wilson, Pastor of Chakpikarong Baptist Church, adjudicated the solo and elocution competitions. For aspiring vocalists, he emphasised emotional resonance, textual comprehension and poise. His masterclass for elocutionists underlined the importance of structured argumentation, judicious pauses and confident body language.

Meanwhile, the spirited debate and knowledge-testing quiz rounds were guided by Dr. Bd. Onahring, whose presence added academic rigour and intellectual depth to the proceedings.

From spelling bees to expressive dances, the Literary Meet offered students opportunities to discover and showcase their abilities. The programme featured a variety of events, including mathematical olympiad, poem recitation, drawing, skits, cultural dance and Pearl’s Got Talent.

The Pearl’s Got Talent 2026 champion was “Electro Beats,” featuring BD. Shanghmanhring, who captivated the audience with an original melodic rap filled with infectious hooks and witty lyrics tuned perfectly to academic life. KT. Kohmanwar emerged as the powerhouse beatboxer, supported by backup dancers BS. Decemhring and RD. Thimri from Class 10.

The Literary Meet also fostered healthy competition and camaraderie among students, who were divided into Yellow, Red, Blue and Green Houses. While the prizes for the various competitions will be formally awarded on Children’s Day, the students participated throughout the event with enthusiasm and team spirit.

The celebrations reached another significant milestone on Monday, August 17, when students, teachers, staff, parents and well-wishers gathered to mark the school’s historic transition into its brand-new campus.

The move represents more than a change of location. It marks a new chapter in the journey of Little Pearls School and reflects its continuing commitment to creating a better learning environment and wider opportunities for its students. The new campus is expected to provide the school with greater scope to expand its educational and co-curricular activities.

As Little Pearls School settles into its new home, the institution looks forward to building on its journey since 2015 and continuing its mission of nurturing young minds, encouraging creativity and inspiring students to grow into confident and responsible individuals.
