Imphal, Feb 12: Members of the Manipur unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday protested outside the BJP Manipur Pradesh office at Nityaipat Chuthek in Imphal, joining the chorus demanding a probe in Adani row.

AAP was holding protests across the country today against Prime Minister Modi’s alleged involvement in the ‘Adani scandal’.

Talking to reporters on the sideline of the protest, the party’s activity coordinator, Bishwanath Thingnam alleged the refusal to initiate a probe in the Adani-Hindenburg row by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre itself showed the involvement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the scam.

He alleged the prime minister of adding the Adani group in exploiting the resources of the country while questioning how Adani’s net worth skyrocketed ever since BJP came to power.

“Adani’s net worth was Rs 3,700 crore in 2014. But it increased to over Rs 13 lakh crore in 2022. How Adani had been able to accumulate such an amount of wealth over a short period?” he asked.

The AAP leader said he would like to question how the net worth of Adani increased manifolds after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India.
