Missing man found dead in Phrezawl dist, Manipur

A 30 year old man who went missing on October 3 was found dead on Thursday, after three days hectic search in Pherzawl district, Manipur. The deceased man is identified as S Thangsuanlal Husband of Vungkhanchin of Convention road, Dorcas Veng, Churachandpur district.

According to Chongthu News Service, S Thangsuanlal left his home at Dorcas Veng on September 28 for Aibulon village, Thanlon sub-division, Pherzawl district. He was engaged as labour with others near Twileng river, Aibulon along Manipur – Mizoram border. He went out from the worksite on October 4 and failed to return following which his colleagues tried to trace his whereabouts. As they failed to track him, the concerned colleagues informed nearby villages, family members and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Large number of people from nearby villages, CSOs volunteers launch a hectic man hunt search since then.

S Thangsuanlal dead body was found on a Cliff at the edge of Twileng river on October 7 morning. The site is said to be a hilly rough terrain, around 9 km Aibulon village near Bungpilon along Manipur – Mizoram border.

The lifeless body of S Thangsuanlal is expected to reach his home at Dorcas Veng, Churachandpur today.
