Ukhrul, October 19: The Naga National Prayer Day 2025 was jointly organized by the Dimasa Baptist Church and the Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) under the theme “O God, Heal Us” (Hosea 6:1-3) at CHQ Church, Hebron, on Sunday.

The event, as per a press release from NSCN/GPRN said, witnessed participation from 21 churches and around 1,500 members from neighboring congregations, including national workers. Seven churches from surrounding villages presented special songs conveying their messages of faith and unity.

Pastor Zizora Thaosen, Executive Secretary of the Dimasa Baptist Church, delivered the sermon, expounding on the theme of healing and restoration.

Addressing the congregation, Ili Singyaola Zimik, Member of the Collective Leadership, reflected on reconciliation and unity among the Nagas, drawing from the Scriptures — Colossians 2:21, Romans 5:10, and Ephesians 2:14. She underscored that reconciliation begins with restoring what is broken and involves praying together and resolving differences.

Expressing concern over the divisions that have emerged during the 28 years of peace negotiations, she called for self-introspection, forgiveness, and acceptance as vital steps toward lasting harmony. “We must focus on the greater good rather than personal interests. This transformation must begin within each of us,” she said, urging humility and repentance before God.

Ino. Tongmeth Wangnao, Kedallo, GPRN, in his address, acknowledged God’s grace in sustaining the Naga national struggle and reminded the congregation to be grateful for milestones such as the Nagas’ membership in the UNPO and the signing of the Framework Agreement. Citing Proverbs 3:5, he affirmed that the Bible remains the living Word of God and emphasized that prayer and unity are essential for the Nagas to overcome their challenges.

Pastors from neighboring churches, CNC staff, chaplains, and women leaders led various prayer points during the service.
