Chandel: The Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) expressed its dismay at the imposition of internet ban in the entire state of Manipur.

The Union expressed that Chandel District has always remained a peaceful zone even though some areas of Manipur have been engulfed in violence. “We understand the imperative of the government in taking necessary measures to curb the ongoing crisis but imposing mobile internet ban in peaceful zone like Chandel defies rationality,” it added. It also said that the people of Chandel have put in great efforts and sacrifices in maintaining peace and tranquility in the district.
