UKHRUL: The Naga People’s Organisation has called on the people of Manipur’s Senapati District to join a public rally organised to express anguish and seek justice over the death of the three Naga civilians at Kailenjang on September 26.

The public rally will be held at the Senapati Distrct Headquarters on October 2, 2026 and commence at 11:00 a.m. The rally is a protest against the brutal killings which they have alleged to be carried out by suspected Kuki militants.
NPO has requested for the public to attend the rally in their traditional attires and extend solidarity to its collective demand for justice.
A 49-year-old Naga civilian, Ashiho Sani of Shajouba village, succumbed to injuries sustained in the September 26 Kalenjang shooting in Senapati district, raising the death toll in the incident to three. Two other Naga civilians, K. Rocky Osanah and Kh. Kumar, were killed at the spot. A condolence service was held at Traffic Point, Senapati, on September 27, where Naga civil society representatives paid tribute to the victims.
