NPP Condemns Manipur Violence in National Committee Meeting; Adopts 3 Key Resolutions

Ukhrul, November 28, 2024: In the National Committee Meeting of the party held in Shillong on November 27, 2024, the National People’s Party (NPP) condemned all forms of violence in the state of Manipur. The National Committee Meeting adopted three key resolutions condemning the spate of violence in the state and calling for the release of one L. Kamal of Cachar District who was allegedly abducted by miscreants.

The National Committee of the National People’s Party in its first resolution condemned all forms of violence taking place in Manipur particularly the brutal and inhumane killing of three women and three children including one eight-month-old infant, and one Hmar woman by armed miscreants.

The second resolution condemned the abduction of one L. Kamal of Cachar District at present Laitangkhunou near Leimakhong Army camp and appealed to the Central and State governments to make all-out efforts to rescue the abducted individual.  

And the third resolution of the National Committee Meeting condemned the frequent abduction and attack on innocent civilians including Naga harvesters and Muslim (Pangals) drivers plying along the NHs by miscreants.
