Book description

(From the back cover of the book)

A powerful collection of poems that shed light on the overlooked and marginalized members of society, from street dwellers to working-class individuals and shines a spotlight on their collective struggles. The themes of abuse, harassment, injustice, and despair offer readers an intense and thought-provoking exploration of the urban environment, especially the cruelty meted out to women and the challenges faced by them, which demand attention. The poems fearlessly address the cracks, fissures, disruptions, and the socio-political milieu. Additionally, the volume addresses the impact of authoritarian governance on the voiceless and disenfranchised. It delves deep and lays bare some of the darkest aspects of human life and the apathy of the powerful. The poet’s work is driven by a deep empathy and a sense of social responsibility, using the art of poetry to advocate for the unheard and oppressed.
