Chandel, March 26, 2025: The Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) and its constituent units are all set to host the 2nd Naga Morung at Liwa Sarei village ground on Friday (March 28).

Organised by Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), the apex body of all Naga students in North East, the 2nd Naga Morung will be held under the theme ‘Kuknalim’ which means “Victory to the People and Land.”

The event is expected to be attended by over 5000 delegates from all over Manipur and Nagaland.

As per a concept note by the NSF, the Naga Morung serves as a vital institution where young Nagas learned the customs, traditions, and history of their people. The event also aims to instil dignity in young Nagas by educating them about the Naga history.

Ruwnglal Elly Anal, president of NSUC informed that preparations are underway under the careful watch of the student body and the local organising committee.

We hope the event will also inspire the younger generation to actively engage in preserving and promoting Naga identity and heritage, he said.

While appealing for cooperation from all like-minded Nagas of the state, especially Chandel for the success of the event, he also extended an open invitation for the same so that everyone who attended the event could learn something new about the Nagas.

Informing that all educational institutions, government offices, market and public transportation will be closed for the day except for emergency such as medical, Elly appealed to all denizens of Chandel to spare the day for the cause of the Nagas and attend the event.
