Ten Days Total Curfew in Ukhrul Dist from July 18

With adoption of immediate preventive and precautionary measures required to break the chain of transmission of the wide prevalence of delta variant of Covid-19, Joseph Pauline Kamson, IAS, district magistrate Ukhrul has declared 10 days total curfew in the whole area situated within the revenue of Ukhrul district starting July 18 till July 27.

Only essential services related to vaccination, Covid-19 testing, medical services, water supply, power supply, telecom and internet services, air travel, agricultural /horticulture, garbage clearance, petrol pumps, LPG distributors, goods truck, and activities related to print and electronic media will be allowed, stated the DM order on Friday.

All sub-divisional magistrate as incident commander along with district police officers has been directed to strictly enforce the order.

The Manipur government on Thursday announced a total curfew of 10 days from July 18 in view of the wide prevalence of Delta Variant of Covid-19 in the state and considering the need of taking up stringent measures to break the chain of transmission.
