Thonglang Atongba Village Authority Board expresses gratitude to 22 Assam Rifles

Senapati: The Thonglang Atongba Village Authority Board has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the 22 Assam Rifles of Thonglang Akutpa Post for clearing the road near Thonglang Atongba village along the IT Road.

“The road was totally cut off for the last one week due to landslides in multiple spots. Witnessing the hardships faced by the public of the area, the Assam Riffle post commander took initiatives and brought in machineries from Jualamukhi Lairouching Battalion and cleared the road which has reconnected with the rest of the world,” the village authority stated.

The village leaders “sincerely” thanked the ranks and files of 22 Assam Riffles for this humanitarian service rendered to the public and we look forward to your continuous support.

It may be mentioned that Liangmai bodies on Wednesday urged the concerned authorities to visit the affected areas of IT Road to take the stock of the situation and have the first hand assessment of the magnitude of damages caused to agricultural lands and irrigation canals in Tapon, Makui, Langka and its adjoining areas of IT Road.
