Bottled correction fluids, bottled thinners banned by Mizoram government

The Mizoram government has banned the production and sale of bottled correction fluids and bottled thinners on Monday. Actually, these substances are used widely by people especially in offices.

According to the government order, these bottled correction fluids and bottled thinners allegedly used by youth as intoxicants. They allegedly use these substances by inhaling to get the stimulating effects.  

It can be noted here that this ban order of the Mizoram government follows the notification of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which directed states ban these substances.

According to the Mizoram government, the ban order will be enforced by the Excise and Narcotics department. It also said that the Food and Drugs Administration Wing of the Mizoram Health department will monitor the enforcement of the ban order.
