Ukhrul: The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Ukhrul District called off its planned nationwide rally, which was scheduled for Saturday. The rally was organized in response to a recently leaked audio tape implicating Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.

The rally was initially set to start from Zalengbung Village and conclude at Shangkai Village, under Litan Police Station in Ukhrul District. However, KSO Ukhrul decided to cancel the event at the last minute after extensive discussions within the organization and in consideration of the sentiments of other student bodies. The decision was made to maintain peace and harmony in the district.

Henceforth, no other authority will exercise power within our jurisdiction. We urge the general public to refrain from any activities that could harm our relationship with the concerned community.”
