The inclusion is part of a creative writing exercise aimed at promoting environmental awareness and inspiring civic responsibility among students.
Jubilant, Licypriya took to X, “Delhi Government puts my name as a topi in the Grade 12 English Examination…” (with a love and folded hands emoji).
Notably, among many of her activism and advocacy, both domestic and international, Licypriya Kangujam to her credit in India, urged the Indian government to implement climate change laws and include climate education in school curriculums.
This move by the Delhi Government’s education department, seems to be part of the rising prominence of young Manipuri climate and environmentalist, but also is a move in the right direction aimed to encourage students to engage with real-world issues such as climate change through academic discourse.
