SENAPATI: In a significant boost for local youth aspirations, the Hillside Training and Placement Centre (HTPC) was officially inaugurated at SM Sha Complex, Senapati. Established as a partner of the Delhi-based Furusawa Language Academy LLP, the center aims to bridge the gap between local talent and international career opportunities in Japan.

The launch event, organized in collaboration with Mount Everest College, was graced by M. Sheveine, MCS (SDO/BDO Paomata), as the Chief Guest, and Dr. V. Alexander Pao, President of Mount Everest College. Other distinguished guests, faculty, and students were present during the programme.

The ceremony commenced with a blessing by Rev. Th. Liavikho Rosii and a welcome address by Kh. Phoshu.

HTPC Director, Bonny Zho, shared the moving motivation behind the academy, noting the immense struggles young aspirants in Senapati face when seeking global employment. To alleviate these hurdles, the center is launching the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) programs, with an initial cohort of 45 students.

The Centre promises comprehensive Japanese language training and 100% placement assistance. To ensure financial inclusivity, Zho confirmed that HTPC is coordinating with banks for loan assistance and pursuing government subsidies to support prospective students.

Abhinav, representing the Director of Furusawa Language Academy, extended his congratulations, emphasizing that the partnership is designed to transform lives through cultural understanding and professional discipline. He noted that Furusawa Academy is committed to preparing students for long-term success within the Japanese labor market.

M. Sheveine, Chief Guest of the programme, highlighted the burgeoning demand for skilled workers in Japan and the strong bilateral ties between India and Japan. She stressed that linguistic competence and cultural sensitivity are the employable skill for those seeking careers abroad.
“Challenges should be viewed as growth opportunities,” Sheveine remarked, assuring her support for the center’s mission to empower youth and create sustainable career pathways.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Lah, HR Counsellor at HTPC, followed by a benediction from SP Simeon, Chaplain of Mount Everest College.
