North-East Fusion Carnival 2025 Brings Together Communities in Bengaluru

BENGALURU, Nov 10: The North-East Fusion Carnival 2025 turned out to be a lively celebration of culture and community as hundreds gathered at St. Joseph’s University Auditorium, Shantinagar, on Sunday.

Organised by the North-East United Forum Bengaluru (NEUFB), the day-long event ran from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., featuring cultural performances, food stalls, exhibitions, and discussions that highlighted the traditions and contemporary expressions of the eight Northeastern states.

Traditional and fusion dances, local crafts, and authentic regional cuisines drew large crowds, while several entrepreneurs and artists showcased their products and innovations.

Before lunch, two podcast sessions added depth to the day’s programme. The first featured Shri Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, Head of the Royal House of Tripura and Chairman of TIPRA Motha, and Shri James P.K. Sangma, Chairman of MIDC and National President of the NPP. The second brought together former Nagaland MLA and poet Shri Mmhonlümo Kikon and Shri Daniel Langthasa, former member of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma shared a recorded message of support, appreciating the organisers for strengthening bonds between the Northeast and the rest of the country.

Among the dignitaries present were Karnataka MLC Shri Suresh Babu, IRS officer Smt. Nandini Das, and IFS officer Shri Rajesh A.M., who heads the Manipur Liaison Office in Bengaluru.

The event concluded with musical performances and a felicitation ceremony recognising achievers and cultural ambassadors.

Organizing Committee said the turnout and enthusiasm reflected the growing sense of unity among the Northeastern community in Bengaluru and beyond.
