Reigning Miss Lily wins K-pop India contest 2020 in solo competition

Reigning Manipur Miss Lily 2019 Chanchui Khayi from Ukhrul District had won the K-Pop India Contest 2020 in Solo Singing Category as part of Changwon K-Pop World Festival.

The 19-yr-old from Teinem Village, Ukhrul District was adjusted the winner in the category from thousands of applicants across the country. The first runner-up was awarded to a 20-year-old girl from Nagaland, Vidisenuo Belho.

Xoe Pachuau from Mizoram won the contest in the Dance category. While the first runner-up and the second runner-up was awarded to Moon Moon from Bangalore and Leishimi Hongray from Imphal respectively.

Altogether, 5 from the Northeast region were among the winners.

The annual event was organized by the Korean Cultural Center India (KCCI) and sponsored by Korean brands Samsung, Limese and Innisfree. The competition was held for vocal and dance categories.

The winners in each category will get to visit South Korea apart from winning Samsung TV, gifts and certificates. The first runner-up will also get to visit Korea along with certificate. The second runner-up will win a cash prize of Rs 70,000, gift and a certificate. While the third runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, along with a gift and a certificate.
