Remains of 7-year-old minor from Huishu village found in Chingai river

The tragic incident of a 7-year-old boy who was swept away in a river current in Huishu village under Chingai subdivision on October 23 morning have been found in Chingai river on Wednesday morning, said sources.

The mortal remains of 7 year old minor was found at Chingai Sakha Dam by one H Yaoreishang of Chingai village on Wednesday morning when he went out fishing around Sakha Dam, as reported by reliable sources. According to source, Yaoreishang was camping at the paddy field.

A massive manhunt comprising of neighbouring villages launched a rescue operation immediately after the news of the drowning of the minor, but could not trace the boy up till Tuesday. The missing boy identified as Tuisak Huishuwo s/o Shinmila and Paomi Huishuwo was carried away by the heavy current of an overflowing stream around 10 am on October 23th reportedly while the boy’s family was returning from their paddy field.

According to the source, as a stream ahead of the village bridge was overflowing, the parents lifted and moved the children one after another onto the bridge. Finally, when the parents returned after shifting their other children, the boy went missing.

Sources said that the family had been staying at their field for harvest of their paddy crops. However, incessant rains had hampered their harvest activities and the family decided to returned home when there was no rains on Friday, October 23th morning.
