Agartala: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has officially declared the results of the 2025 Madhyamik (Class 10), Higher Secondary (+2 Stage), and Madrasa Alim, Fazil examinations, bringing clarity to over 50,000 students across the state. The results were announced on Wednesday, April 30, following the completion of the evaluation process last week.
Announcing the TBSE Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (+2 Stage) 2025 results, TBSE President Dr. Dhananjay Gon Choudhury said, “This year, 29,670 students appeared for the Madhyamik examination, and the overall pass percentage stands at 86.53%.”
“This is a slight dip compared to last year’s 87.54%, when 33,739 candidates took the exam,” he noted.
“In the Higher Secondary examination, a total of 21,506 students appeared, and we have recorded a pass percentage of 79.29%, which shows a marginal improvement over 2024’s 79.27%,” he added.

In the Madrasa Alim exam, 111 candidates appeared and 73 passed. For Madrasa Fazil (Arts stream), 18 appeared and 15 passed, while in the Fazil Theology stream, 50 students appeared and 47 cleared the exam.
The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has also released detailed demographic and performance data for this year’s Madhyamik examination. These insights reflect gender, category-wise participation, grading trends, and the academic performance of districts and Sub-divisions across the state.

The TBSE has also released key statistics for the Higher Secondary (+2 Stage) examinations, offering insights into gender-wise participation, grade distribution, and performance across districts and Sub-divisions.

Stream-wise performance in Higher Secondary shows strong results: in the Science stream, 2,184 students appeared and 2,150 passed. In Arts/Humanities, 18,795 appeared and 14,435 passed. In Commerce, 459 students appeared and 405 cleared the exam. Among the Physically Handicapped candidates, 166 appeared for Madhyamik and 110 passed. In Higher Secondary, 928 Physically Handicapped candidates appeared, and 70 passed.
While addressing the media, TBSE Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey said, “One of the most inspiring stories of this year’s results comes from Dhalai district, where a candidate with special needs, who wrote his Madhyamik exam using his leg, passed and scored 165 marks.”
“We are aiming to deliver the mark sheets to schools by May 5, so that students can collect them by May 6,” said Dr. Dey.
“Students who are dissatisfied with their results or notice any discrepancies in their mark sheets can apply for rechecking, re-evaluation, or review between May 7 and May 9. The forms will be available on the official TBSE website and must be submitted to their respective schools. Schools have been directed to forward the applications to TBSE by May 13,” he added.

“We also have a provision for self-inspection of answer scripts. Students must inform their schools within 25 days of the result announcement. Schools will then send those requests to TBSE,” Dr. Dey explained.
“For students who don’t clear the exams, the ‘Bachar Bachao’ Compartment Examination will be conducted in the first week of June,” he concluded.
