Two other COVID-19 death reported in Manipur on Thursday

UT News Service | Imphal, July 30: A 48 year old diabetic patient from Leimakhong, died of covid-19 at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal under Nephrology department of the hospital on Thursday morning marking it the second fatality case in the state. The patient tested positive for COVID-19 on July 26. The first fatality case was a 56 year old in-patient at RIMS, Imphal on July 29, Wednesday.

A third fatality of a 38 year old from Chingdai Khullen village was recorded on Thursday. The deceased was Assistant teacher of Sardar Hills, ADC, under Kangpokpi District and, was a diabetic patient undergoing dialysis.

All the three COVID-19 fatality recorded in the state were diabetic patients. Manipur on Wednesday witnessed the highest single day spike of 141 COVID-19 cases, tallying commutative positive cases in the state at 2458 in total.
