ULB Postal ballot voting process begins in Nagaland

Kohima/Dimapur: To facilitate voting for election duty workers for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) polls in Nagaland, the casting of postal ballots began today at district and sub-divisional headquarters. 
The actual poll day is June 26.

In Dimapur, the process was carried out at the Commissioner of Taxes office.

The process was overseen by EAC, Imtijungla Lemtur, Nodal Officer for postal ballots. Lemtur informed that there are 59 voters who have availed the postal ballot services from the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and 5 voters from the East Dimapur Town Council.

The postal ballot voting process commenced in the presence of authorized representatives from various candidates, who observed the procedure from the start.

In the state capital Kohima, voters on election duty participated in casting votes for election to Kohima Municipal Council at the District Customary Court, DC Office.

A total of 103 postal ballots were issued, out of which 101 votes were cast.

Following the completion of voting of voters on election duty, the ballot boxes were deposited at the strong room. The ballot box strong room has been sealed in the presence of Election Observer for KMC, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, ADC Kohima.
