CNPO Extends Invitation for Monolith Unveiling Program

Ukhrul, November 29, 2024: The Chandel Naga People’s Organization (CNPO) has invited the district’s Nagas to the historic unveiling of Monolith at Liwa Sarei, Chandel, on December 6, 2024. Seeking a dignified, respectable, and serene celebration of the momentous occasion, the organization appeals to the general public to refrain from organizing any agitation during the program.

In a statement released by its Information and Publicity Wing, CNPO seeks prayer support and cooperation for the program’s success. It also calls for people’s participation and blessings that serve as a poignant testament to their collective legacy, shared values, and timeless traditions.

Calling the Monolith unveiling ceremony a time to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and the indomitable spirit of the people, the union requests everyone to come together in solidarity setting aside any differences. The statement also adds that the historic event symbolizes the unity of the 11 Naga tribes in the district and their unwavering commitment to Naga solidarity, ancestral heritage, and cultural preservation.

“As we gather to unveil this monument, we honor the sacrifices of our forefathers who paved the way for our freedom, identity, and cultural inheritance. Further seeking people’s participation and blessings in the event, the CNPO calls upon them to stand in one voice and one spirit as they commemorate their heritage, strengthen their bond, and shape a brighter future for the coming generations.
