UKHRUL: The Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Losii Dikho, has appealed to the citizens of Manipur for sanity and peace.
“The tragedy that occurred yesterday at Mulam is not a loss for a family, a village, or a particular community alone. This devastating loss is for all of Manipur,” Dikho stated on Saturday. He noted that despite previous appeals for peace and understanding between communities, “the cycle of hate and violence continues to claim precious lives.”
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that “violence offers no solution.” It neither brings justice nor reclaims what is lost, nor does it build a future for children. “There is no victory in a grieving land,” he said, urging community leaders, mothers, fathers, and especially the youth to refrain from the path of violence. “Let us stop before there is nothing left to save,” Dikho added.

“Let peace lead the way. Let us choose the difficult yet noble path of dialogue over the destructive impulses of guns. Our land has seen enough tears; it is now time for us to heal,” Dikho stated.
Dikho concluded by extending his prayers to the families whose lives were cut short at Mulam, and called for collective wisdom among the people to choose a future of peaceful coexistence and understanding.
