Naga Students’ Union Punjab Elects New Leadership for 2025–2026 Term

Ukhrul, April 29: The Naga Students’ Union Punjab (NSUP) has officially announced its newly elected Executive Council for the 2025–2026 tenure, ushering in a new phase of leadership and renewed commitment to community engagement and unity among Nagas residing in Punjab.

The formal handover ceremony between the outgoing and incoming office bearers took place on the evening of April 28, 2025, at Regenta Place, Phagwara. The event was followed by the first executive meeting under the new leadership.

Ms. Sensen Ilang has been elected as the new President of NSUP. The complete list of elected officials are:

President: Ms. Sensen Ilang

Vice President: Mr. Khriethovizo Ziephrü

Assistant General Secretary: Mr. Tsolo J. Lasuh

Assistant Finance Secretary: Mr. Athishu Piku

Socio-Cultural Secretary: Mr. Sathavi Sale

Games & Sports Secretary: Mr. Norato Hibo

Statistical Secretary: Mr. Nounengulie Solo

Women Welfare Secretary: Ms. Petrina Swu

Representative to NSF: Mr. Ketousielie Theünuo

In its official statement, the NSUP called for stronger unity and active participation among Nagas in Punjab. The Union also encouraged unregistered members of the Naga community to register with the NSUP in order to promote greater inclusion, cooperation, and collective progress.

The newly appointed council is expected to carry forward the Union’s mission of fostering solidarity and cultural identity while addressing the academic, social, and welfare needs of Naga students and residents in Punjab.
