UKHRUL: Indian Railways is set to introduce the Howrah–Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train this month, marking a major step in long-distance rail travel. Developed by BEML using ICF technology, the 16-coach train is expected to be rolled out within the next 17–18 days and flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by January 18.

Two rakes will operate between Howrah and Guwahati (Kamakhya) via Bandel Junction, under the Eastern Railway zone. The train is likely to depart in the evening, though the timetable is yet to be announced.
