IMPHAL: Normal life has been severely affected in the valley districts of Manipur, mostly affected in Imphal, for the second consecutive day on Wednesday even as indefinite curfew prevails. However, there were no reports of any untoward incident today.

Following the killing of two children in the wee hours of Tuesday in Bishnupur district allegedly by an explosive from the Kuki militants, massive protests erupted on Tuesday in all the valley districts, including Imphal. Two protestors also died in the alleged security force firing. To deal with this highly charged situation, the Manipur government suspended internet services for three days and imposed indefinite curfew.
