UKHRUL: Assam government’s Department of School Education has introduced an automated SMS alert system for government schools across the state.

The system was introduced to tackle student absenteeism due to family-related issues or a lack of awareness among parents about long-term impact of missed schooling.

Integrated with the Shiksha Setu Application, automatic text message alerts to parents and class teachers will be sent when a student remains absent from school for five consecutive days.
