Ukhrul: Reports are coming in from various places that trees and electric poles have been uprooted, and roads are blocked due to landslides in several areas. The route connecting Ukhrul to Imphal is in a dilapidated condition.
The NHIDCL is employing machinery at various locations to clear the landslides.

Paomi Khaveishang, President of Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL), the apex student body of the northern Tangkhul area, has expressed gratitude to the General Manager (Project), PMU-Ukhrul, NHIDCL, for his swift response and timely intervention in clearing the landslide along NH 202.
Heavy rain and gusty winds have wreaked havoc, destroying gardens and standing crops.
Water levels in the rivers are rising rapidly. The Rangatak River and Challou River, the two main rivers in the northern part of Ukhrul District, have washed away many paddy fields. The exact damage is yet to be ascertained.
There is no power supply, and the mobile and internet signals are very poor.

Meanwhile, Manipur State Power Distribution Company, Limited (MSPDCL) in view of the prevailing weather condition has instructed all its officers in Division and Sub-Divisions to stay alert and to take up all precautions. The order of MSPDCL instructed its officers to be stationed at their respective offices.
Similarly, the Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul district, on Monday issued public advisory to stay alert and make necessary precautions to avoid loss of live and property, stating the IMD on Monday had issued Orange alert for the entire state of Manipur in view of Cyclone Remal.
