UKHRUL: The United Christian Forum (UCF) has appointed Toko Teki as its spokesperson for Northeast India, aiming to strengthen regional outreach, communication, and engagement across the culturally diverse region.
The appointment has been widely welcomed in Arunachal Pradesh, with church bodies and civil society groups recognizing Teki’s decades-long contributions to community leadership, youth engagement, and public service.
Teki, a former president and general secretary of the Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF), has played a key role in strengthening organizational coordination and grassroots outreach. He also served as spokesperson of the All Nyishi Students’ Union and founded the All Yachuli Students’ Union, reflecting his early leadership in student movements.

Beyond social and religious leadership, he contributed to sports development as vice president of the Arunachal Olympic Association, promoting youth participation and infrastructure in rural areas. He was awarded the State Gold Medal by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for his public service.
Welcoming the appointment, UCF president Dr. Michael Williams said Teki’s experience would strengthen the organisation’s mission in the Northeast. Teki, in his response, described the role as a commitment to public service and community welfare.
The UCF has also launched a toll-free helpline (1800-208-4545) to assist individuals with legal awareness and access to institutional support.
Observers see Toko Teki’s appointment as a strategic step to improve coordination between grassroots communities and national platforms in the Northeast.
